This is an american eskimo dog. They are medium size dogs...with no dog odor and are from the spitz family. Blizzard is very, very smart and extremely cudely like a teddy bear or pillow. My dogs love, most all other animals, kids and even cudle w/the cats. They can be protective, often are smarter than their owners,so get a bad rap for that at times. Are very adventurous..love to go for rides or rv travel. My dogs do however kill large rodents...we have river rats and some times get moles or gophers, and my puppies know that I do not like these pests so they will snap their necks or chase them off. This dog breed was used for rounding up reindeer and brought to the United States and used as companion dogs, ranch help and in circus performing. They are very social animals so they need to be in with people as well as can enjoy the out of doors. Will bark to announce visiters or to greet you,but not very vocal otherwise. Can speak when asked and do many other commands. My mother can actually spin the fur that is shed into yarn just like that of Samoyeds..they look like mini Sammies. I LOVE my American Eskimo"Polar Puppies"! LyndaW916
