The Bolognese originated in Italy.
It's ancestry dates back thousands of years to the time of Aristotle.
They were dogs of royalty, often given as gifts to noblemen.
Description
This happy, playful breed becomes
very attached to their owners. They do not like to be away from them.
They enjoy some outdoor play, but are happy to be inside a majority of
the time. They do best with older, well behaved children. They do good
with other pets and dogs, especially if they are small and introduced
at a young age. The Bolognese can be shy and timid, so it is important
to socialize them from puppyhood.
